Freedom Bridge

The last group of freed POWs crossed this bridge into South Korea.

3rd Infiltration Tunnel

The mine cart transported you into the 3rd Infiltration Tunnel that the North Koreans created for fast mobilization to Seoul. The North Koreans smeared coal inside the tunnel to make it look like an abandoned coal mine. This tunnel was discovered in 1990.

Reunification Sculpture

It is the wish of the Korean people to be reunited. There are large signs on the South Korean side of the DMZ that read, "North Korea and South Korea are one family."

DMZ

Although you can't see anything, we are pointing towards North Korea. The DMZ runs the length of the Korean peninsula (along the 38th parallel) and is 2K in width. In the 50 years that the DMZ has been in existence, the area has been undisturbed by man and is a refuge for native animals and plants. Many believe there are tigers in the DMZ. This is supported by the anti-tank land mines that occasionally explode.

Dorasan Station

The last station inside South Korea. Next stop PyeongYang.
