first trip to China proper was fun and exciting but perhaps not truly the
China I was looking for. |

| On January 2, 2001, I went to visit my Aunt
Jean and my Uncle Carson. My uncle works for a Taiwanese company that has
set up a factory in Shenzhen. His factory makes electrical wire. |
| I went to two "amusement parks," the
China Folk Village and Windows on the World. I especially liked the China
Folk Village. |

A trip to southern China would not be complete
without trying snake, a local delicacy. Snake is eaten mainly in winter
because it is warming and gives energy. Since this is the Year of the
Snake, the snake will be extra beneficial. |
